I started running in H.S. in NY and loved it to pieces. When I moved to FL I didn't adapt to well to the different environment and decided at that time not to run. Many years later, I worked for a company that had a corporate team that ran the corporate challenge 5K in Ft Lauderdale. I decided to run with them and caught the bug all over again. In 1999 I joined Team In Training with the Leukemia Society of America and trained to run the 2000 Disney marathon. I then trained 6 months later for the 2001 Disney Half-marathon. In 2002 and 03 I ran into some issues that stopped me from running. I then Trained for the 2004 Disney and Miami Halves. At this point I would be running for 6 months and not for the other 6, until after my training and events in 2004, which at the time I decided to keep running after the events were over. This prompted me to join a group of friends in a training program called Galloway. I then ran the Marathon of the Palm Beaches Half at the end of 2004 in Dec. I haven't stopped since. I am now a pace group leader for the local Galloway training program helping other complete races I have enjoyed for the last few years. I have met many great people and am happy to say that many have become close friends and I couldn't imagine running without them. I have now completed 4 marathons and 14 half-marathons. 2 of the Marathons & Half-Marathons wer due to the Goofy race and a half challenge. I intend to keep going and add more to this count as the teasrs go by. Hopefully Boston will be one of the races I can add to the count. That won't be for a few years though. Races I have participated in Thus far are: Walt Disney World Marathon 2000,2006 & 2008, Marine Corps. Marathon 2005. Walt Disney World Half-Marathon 2001,2004,2005,2006 & 2008. The ING Miami Half-Marathon 2004,2005,2006,2007 & 2008. The Marathon of the Palm Beaches Half 2004,2005,2006 & 2007. Keep on running and see you out on the road.
