Mid March in Seattle typically means two things. 1) the weather sucks and 2) Seattle's highly acclaimed St. Patty's Day Dash is held! This year the race set a new participant record, over 15,500 runners and walkers took to the streets of Seattle. The distance of the race also changed slightly (depending on who you talked too and what resources you used to figure out the race distance.) My sources and 'training' told me that it was a 3.51 race. I ran my fastest opening mile in years, a 5:33! Holy crap. I felt great and finished 20:27 and good for top 75 in the whole race. I'm excited to keep improving and look forward to a great season!
